This course will focus on the fundamentals of photography such as camera and lighting equipment, varying shoot styles, working with clients and post-production using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. 

The course will explore camera basics like ISO, shutter speed and aperture, rules of composition, settings, products and props, working with live models, editing basics and workflows.

This course is designed to provide a strong foundation for commercial and professional photography, to introduce the fundamentals to beginners and broaden the knowledge of those looking to take the next step as a professional.

Classes are limited to 10 students to optimise the individuals learning experience.

As part of the Photography Essentials course package, students will receive a 1 TB hard drive, 2 hours of Photo Studio Dry Hire, plus a ticket for our One76 Photography Marketing Workshop on a date TBC.

Each student is required to bring their own camera and laptop loaded with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. If you don’t already have subscriptions for those, we recommend the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan.

Students must be proficient with everyday computing skills such as file management, opening, saving, backing up, navigation, and basic troubleshooting.
